The most used techniques to correct the previous deformities are osteotomy and arthrodesis. The first consists of changing the position of certain bones of the foot without sacrificing the joints, so as to preserve mobility. The arthrodesis corrects the deformity by the definitive fixation of certain joints which leads to a greater or lesser degree of loss of mobility. In both techniques screws, plates, pins and more are used so as to stabilize the foot bones.
